Factors: Location - * Design - * Hospitality - *** Food - ** Creativity - ** Cleanliness - **** Cost - *** Ambience ** Older Description: Peppercorns a weird find which is why it makes it on our site. Tucked into a run down strip of stores that includes a gas station, US Post Office, a locksmith, barber and pawn shop. Its withering herb and pepper plants are the "touch" Not so much but don't be completely fooled. A nice wine list and a fair menu greets you. The staff a bit on the edgy side. What would you expect. Square space, drab walls, square tables about enough space to cram 30 people comfortably. Paying the space some creativity would do them well. As for the menu. It attempts fine dining but fails. Serving frozen fish in a space this size is just wrong. Serving frozen meat is wrong. It is largely we think due to the unbelievably huge diner like menu. The chef does her best to get creative but the sprinkles of parsely as a garnish just lacks todays sizzle. She does disguise this menu well though. Cudos to the challenges to overcome. If your 60 and over it's a winner. Date Feb 18th 2016
