No Country 500 in 2019

Daytona Beach will not be hosting a
4th Country Music Festival in 2019.
In 2018 the long running Blues Festival was
also canceled.
These events are big draws for the city as of yet there are no plans to replace either one.
The Local Music scene in
Daytona is competitve and places to play for pay are struggling.
The latest casualty was the closing of Sunsetters Riverfront Bar & Grill on Main Street.
There are some signs of interest of something new as sources we have talked with mention The Shores Resort and Spa as a host to Something called Beach & Blues no details were given as to dates or acts or who the organizers might be.

Daytona Blues Festival Announcement

This is happening!!!
Craft Brews & Blues Saturday at the 2017 Daytona Blues Festival - 2 PM for brews, the blues will start at 1 PM.
North Gate opens at NOON and East Gate opens at 11:30 AM.
Presented S.R. Perrott, Inc., they'll have 14+ craft breweries at the Annual Daytona Blues Festival.
Sample beer from Florida craft breweries and beyond starting at 2 PM!!
Bring your valid photo ID and you must be 21+ to sample.
TASTING TICKETS will be on sale - $1 for 1 or 6 for $5.
Festival tickets will be on sale at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

Introducing "Tears of a Tyrant" a Hard Driving Rock Cover Band out of Orlando.
They made their first appearance in Daytona Beach last Night at the Rok Bar on Seabreeze.
They covered the stuff of the 70's like Rick Derringer and Styx, refreshing in a town that loves its diversity in music.

Michael Stilwell one of our great local musicians likes to say "I know nothing about stuff", but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Whether its Daytona, Port Orange, New Smyrna or Flagler Beach, Micalini's Flying Circus Jam is always on the road.
His hard work allows many talented musicians to come together to play for locals and our visitors. In his own right he is an extremely gifted person on the stage.
He has earned our Hard Working Musician of the Month.
