By: Sarah Kat Video Contributor Bill Jolley Saturday is typically a day that most families congregate and spend time together. This past Saturday was no different. Local Angels a local charity hosted a family fun day at the Doug Out Sports Bar and Grill. The charity was accepting donations, and provided entertainment for the children as well as haircuts for those in need. Local Angels assists children with any obstacles in life that arises, by offering services to children with special needs, emotional needs, and terminal illness as well as at risk teens. They assist with keeping families together that are struggling to maintain custody. Read More 
By Jeff Stolowitz Insomnia is a local band. It is a cover band that has tremendous energy. They just hit it hard and they play with everything they got. Fronted by Thai Pichon on vocals completely versatile, the incredible talented Bass player Adam Dority. Adam is one of those musicians that walks the Bass. He also is a community minded person, always putting others before himself setting up benefits for many different causes. On the guitar is this guy you know one of those understated types Mike Paci. Stage presence and chops like no one else around here. Uniquely done they also have the ability to let Drummers like Barry Welch or Neil Hale sit in. They still don't miss a beat. On this night we got to also hear Ronny Rodriguez sing. We still don't know why Ronny isn't signed. He has one of those true rock voices. It is a great growing music scene here in the Daytona area. With venues like Marks Sports Pub giving the local talent the ability to shine and play for pay. It is certain more and more will be heard.
