 
MICHAEL ALLMAN AND THE ADAM JAMES SOCIETY TO PERFORM TOGETHER AT MAIN STREET STATION
Thursday, September 5 Daytona Beach, FL- Michael Allman and the Adam James Society are slated to perform together at the Main Street Station on Thursday, September 5. The two previously performed together as part of an impromptu jam session during Bike Week. Now, they will be performing together on stage once again. The Daytona Beach Blues Society is sponsoring the event. “I invited him. I was in another band and he added a nice flair” said Allman on the Bike Week Jam Session. “So, we talked about doing something together” “It’s going to be awesome” Allman added. “We’re really going to raise some hell!” Michael Allman is the oldest of Gregg Allman’s 5 children. Adam James is a blues rock musician based in DeLand who has led the Adam James Society since 2014. Tickets for the event will be available through Eventbrite. General admission tickets cost $15 in advance, and V.I.P. tickets cost $25 in advance. Aug 2019 This guitar legend, who has been called, to name a few, Uncle Ted, the ‘Nuge, Sweaty Teddy, but has always been known as a rock and roll god, took over the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach. Often seen as a controversial character due to hunting videos, views on gun control, & politics, he is known as the rocker who never got his highs from anything but life, life-experiences, and pure ROCK 'n ROLL. Actually, during this show, he proudly announced he is 71 years sober ... Wow! 71! You would never guess with the excitement he exudes during his show. He tells the audience that they are the most important audience of his life. He's calculated his lifetime shows to be well over 6,000 which is a feat itself. We had multiple guitar changes throughout the night, and I do believe Ted has a name for each as well as much affection for every one of them. He's telling us it's all about guitar tone which I'm sure each song has its own which is perfectly suited for each of the guitars already set up for said song. This evenings set list started off with one of his most famous Stranglehold, which is a nice long song to warm up to. Following this we had Gonzo & Paralyzed. Fan favorites such as Free-For-All & Cat Scratch Fever lit up the audience. Later in the hour and a half set, they clamored for an encore which Ted gladly indulged by playing The Great White Buffalo and finishing off the night in a most patriotic way with a guitar solo of The Star-Spangled Banner. He loves & saluted many branches of the military which he said were in attendance that evening, our current president, and the Second Amendment, which brought cheers and standing ovations from the audience. Be sure to catch him out on tour near you! https://www.momentsthatrockmagazine.com    MAIN STREET STATION TO HOST WEEKEND OF INCREDIBLE LIVE MUSIC Friday August 30 Saturday August 31 Sunday September 1 Daytona Beach, FL- The Main Street Station will be hosting an incredible weekend of live music from Friday, August 30 to September, September 1. These concerts are all part of Rock The Block, which the Main Street Station will be doing to celebrate Labor Day Weekend. The weekend begins August 30 with Hayfire. Hayfire is a six-piece band from Orlando that performs covers of songs by country music artists such as Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Sugarland. “Main Street Station is always a great time. The crowd is amazing and the staff is on point” said lead male vocalist Brooks Vaughan. “We love playing there and can’t wait to let loose in August!” Hayfire is scheduled to hit the stage at 8 p.m. On Saturday, August 31, the Island Rum Fest pub crawl will be happening. Live music by Black Sheep and the Greg Warren Band will be at the Main Street Station. Black Sheep is a cover band from Daytona who performs a range of artists from Rihanna to Led Zeppelin. The Greg Warren Band is a contemporary country artist who will perform covers along with originals such as “City Girl” and “Reason To Drink”. The Greg Warren Band has opened for several country acts including Love and Theft, Michael Ray, and Matt Stillwell. “First and foremost, we’d like to thank Phaedra and her crew for continuing to have the Greg Warren Band back to Main Street Station. It’s honestly one of our favorite places to play in Florida” said Greg Warren. “The crowds are rowdy, fun, and exciting” Warren says the audience can expect 3 hours of country and rock “tailored to keep the crowd engaged and partying.” The live music begins at 6 p.m. In the spirit of the Island Rum Fest, the Main Street Station wants you to dress like a pirate. There will be a pirate costume contest at 9 p.m. On September 1, the Main Street Station will be celebrating Labor Day with a full day of live music. Up first is TribUcon performing a tribute to Journey. TribUcon will be joined Shoot To Thrill, a tribute to AC/DC, and Real Tough Cookie, a tribute to Pat Benetar. “We are very excited to play the Main Street Station. Very grateful and honored that Phaedra [Lee] is giving us the opportunity. We really enjoy sharing the stage with our friends in TribUcon” said Real Tough Cookie guitarist Michael Diorio. Diorio said he spent extensive time studying Pat Benetar’s guitarist Neil Giraldo to create an accurate performance behind singer Rachel Stump. Tickets for TribUcon cost $10 a piece. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite. The first tribute is scheduled to hit the stage at 3 p.m. To top off this incredible night of live music, The Lacs will be performing at the Main Street Station. The Lacs perform a fusion of country and hip-hop. The Lacs have released albums that have charted on the Billboard 200, U.S. Rap, U.S. Country, U.S. Indie, and U.S. Heat charts. The Lacs will perform hits such as “Country Roads”, “Kickin Up Mud”, “Smoke Stack”, “Keep It Redneck”, and others. Tickets for The Lacs are available through Eventbrite. General admission tickets include TribUcon and are available for $25 apiece. Tickets for The Lacs Premium Party Pass are $75 a ticket. Daytona Beach April, 2019 So here we are, post Bike Week and are you finally feeling like yourself again? It was the 78th Annual Bike Week in Daytona this year and Main Street was packed every day and night. In fact despite what the mainstream news says it was packed everywhere. For Behind Daytona we spent the majority of time at Main Street Station and Dirty Harrys but alsoexperienced Cackleberry for my very first time. After talking with all of our team members we all agreed it was the most fun of all. The best part about Main Street during Bike Week? The number of bands, with the variety of music, all within earshot and walking distance. Don’t like this band? No problem! Walk next door and something completely different will be playing. There is something for everyone. For the Behind Daytona crew, all the festivities started Wednesday for Bike Night with Big Engine and Diesal and off we went. No Quarter the Led Zeppelin Tribute Band then hit the Stage the following night and it was a full on jam. Friday, the official kick off, we caught Big Engine and Skin Deep at Main Street Station. We roamed up and down the street, saw Bobby Friss and to close out the night Diesel at Dirty Harrys. All of these bands pull in such a crowd and offer such a variety of music. Saturday was a busy day and it started around 7:30 am. Jeff the founder was up and at it with Sunrise Live Streams. Our first stop was the Busted Knuckle Tour at Seminole Harley Davison absolutely worth going to. Then Main Street Station and Dirty Harrys. Various bands were heard throughout. Now Sunday is when I got we got our first taste of Cackleberry. If you’ve not been, it is vastly different then Main Street, pretty much anything goes.... And we mean ANYTHING! Topless bull riding, ladies walking around without their tops, topless go-go dancers, bikini contests in between the sets of music. It’s an experience in itself. It is definitely a bit more wild than Main Street and provides a completely different experience. On Tuesday, Blandini played at Main Street Station with special guest George Lynch. Our photographer Karen Romano Adams of Moments that Rock caught some great images. t was an amazing concert. Zoltan, the original drummer for 5 Finger Death Punch, is a sight to see when he plays. This was my second time seeing them play at the Station and boy do I hope they come back. Their show was outstanding! Then we got to experience Drowning Pool. WOW! hile I liked their music beforehand, I LOVE this band after seeing it live! I hope Phaedra brings them back again. And soon! They drew in quite a crowd and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The next day was a big one for us at Behind Daytona. We interviewed two national bands, Saving Abel and Tantric. They draw in the crowd and get it hyped. This night was no different. We got to hear some of Tantric’s new music from the new album too. Special shout out to Burgey’s Tiki Hut. They allowed us to use their upstairs patio for the Saving Abel interview and fed us some delicious food in between interviews. Definitely a great place for local eats on Main Street. Saturday was the last big day of Bike Week this year. We were graced with Michael Allman starting with the Blues Dogs. Adam James then went on stage and man, him and Michael together is a treat. They are both eternal performers and know how to work the crowd. Michael Allman stayed around and sang with Leaving Eden, much to the their delight. It was pure bliss to watch. They played off of each other and put on a show like no other. All in all, it was a busy week and a half, but it was a BLAST as always. Thank you to the venues and bands for making it such a memorable experience. What a run for one awesome all-day music fest. For around the last 10 years it has taken place at the Central Florida Fair Grounds where they set up a huge main stage, use the amphitheater as a second stage and schedule acoustic, more intimate setting shows in the air-conditioned exhibit building. You can recharge your self from the sun, have a seat and rest your feet, and take in some great tunes.  This year we found Waldo, spoke to a devil, and our belief in the tooth fairy has been revived! I am, of course, speaking of the many 'characters' you see during the festival who are dressed to have some fun with the fans. Once again WJRR has shown us why this festival has been the biggest one in Central Florida for 25 years. They brought in some great bands who performed on three stages from 11:30 in the morning until 11 p.m. One of the highlights, from a photographer's point of view, was the band Fozzy that is fronted by wrestling giant, Chris Jericho. They invited all of the photographers up onto the stage to take photos from their perspective and it was amazing as the amphitheater grounds were absolutely full of fans which gave phenomenal photo opportunities. Shinedown is also very appreciative of the photographers in the pit. Singer, Brent Smith, shakes hands from one end of the photo pit to the other as a tradition during every show. This band brings so much energy and musical talent to the stage. They were the final headlining band this year. As always , EDBD has a lil something for everyone. This year's line up was diverse with local, semi-national, national, older, & newer bands all represented. Performing on the Lipton Stage, was Dead Girls Academy, Fozzy, 10 Years, Powerman 5000, & Starset. On the Bud Light stage we saw an amazing tribute band, Nirvanna-A Tribute to Nirvana, to start the day. This band regularly plays on the Southeastern House of Blues circuit and is by far the best we've seen! We also had Red, Seether, NonPoint, All That Remains, Bush, 3 Days Grace, and Shinedown headlining the show. Both VIP areas, located on either side of the main stage, were tented with an ample amount of seating and offered terrific views of the main stage. Our ticket winners Crystal and Jared were in hand for a Behind Daytona/Stknthe80s Rock Pix group shot. They were having a blast and we thank WJRR for the chance to give these 2 an awesome experience! After 25 years of producing this event, the radio station, 101.1 WJRR, really has a handle on what the fans are looking for and every year we see improvements and new things!
