103 years is a fantastic long life, and the end of a distinguished group of veterans. Richard Cole was the last of the 80+ personnel who took part in the daring raid that struck the heart of the empire of Japan, Tokyo in World War 2. A recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal from President Obama in 2014 and the Medal of Honor. Cole was a resident of Comfort, Texas. We take our hats off to Richard Cole and send our thoughts to all who knew him. It is our hope that the sacrifices and courage provided by this group of airmen will forever be remembered with honor.
Lauren King wrote a fantastic bit of work on Richard. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/surviving-doolittle-raider-richard-cole-dies-103/story?id=62280697 Behind Dallas
