I am just astounded by the ignorance of Reed Berger and those opposing the opening of a new Tatoo business on Main St. Questions and statements regarding families??? The issue has already been resolved in a Supreme Court Case Tattooing is main stream in our society and culture. It is art, culture and family it is freedom of expression and everything that is unique to Americans. The owners are willing to invest for the betterment of our community with a thriving business one that brings in revenue for the city, they intend to make changes to the harsh appearance of the disappearing Main Street. Much like Sunsetters Riverfront Bar & Grill, Main Street Station, and the revival of The Bank & Blues the community knows what's best for itself. The only question now is who's moving in next door? Maybe a Coffee Shop, Florist, Art Gallery or a Bakery, or an Eco Friendly Bike company like FLAUNT Electric Bicycles, or a new Media Company like www.Behinddaytona.com To be fair as stated in the video, the council seems to be "FOR" this while the " Professional Opinion" of one man hinders progress. Having now met with the owners and other business owners they are now galvanized in their efforts to stop what they say is an aggressive effort to depress the Main St. District by a selected few. Who they are, maybe Reed Berger knows. It has been reported that he has been slinking around town taking photos or videos of businesses. If he is really doing that, to what end we ask? This editor is asking for the removal of Reed Berger and his "Professional Opinion" in this process his prejudice is unwanted. We are attempting to get an interview with Mr. Berger so he has the ability to answer our questions. In the meantime we truly hope the people in charge allow the Tatoo and Museum to open for Biketoberfest. Biketoberfest and Bike Week are traditions going back 25 and 75 plus years are also hot topics which unfortunately the Daytona Beach News-Journal started a rumour it was off by publishing opinions. This is untrue. Biketoberfest is on. Publisher Jeff Stolowitz Behind Daytona http://daytonabeachfl.swagit.com/play/09182017-842 PS: At the time of writing this I do not have a Tatoo. Hmmm....

New Smyrna Beach FLAUNT Vehicles I knew I had found one of those places, a business with Eco-awareness, run by locals that had a vision to carry it out. During Beach week 2017 hosted by Pro Surfer Shea Lopez, I met Kevin Mount the owner of FLAUNT Vehicles in New Smyrna Beach. Kevin has grasped the concept and evolution of the Eco-friendly local business shop. They currently feature 2 models of an e-Bike that you can go up to 20 mph on for about 40 mpc The bike only takes 4 hours to completely recharge a battery. American ingenuity and entrepreneurship at its best. It is a movement which is taking root in communities and cities all over the country.“Benjamin Franklin” anyone. The e-Bikes are sturdy and have some great features. The one that got my attention on our ride was the pedal assist option. As an avid outdoors-man and gymnast in my early years I had done some damage to my knees and hadn't been on a bicycle in many years. Getting on one of the e-Bikes I was a bit apprehensive, but as the saying goes, “It’s like riding a Bicycle” The first word that came to mind was exhilarating and the pedal assist took the fears of bike riding away. You absolutely feel free to resume this great activity which is both helpful for your health and environmentally friendly. FLAUNT Vehicles has a business model that includes renting their bikes, they sell and service them as well. At a cost of just around $1,700.00 they are an affordable way of getting around town without having to go to the gas station. FLAUNT Vehicles also provides an Eco e-Bike Tour around the City of New Smyrna Beach. It includes a ride from their shop over to the beach through town. As you ride your guide will point out historical places and cool facts. You can also go through a pretty cool off trail ride. New Smyrna Beach is only a 20 minute ride from Daytona Beach and is a must see and do location when vacationing. It is home now too many trendy and up-and-coming small businesses and restaurants. FLAUNT Vehicles e-Bikes is a great way to tour this quaint Beach-side City. Should you want a tour in Ormond or Daytona call Kevin he is sure to accommodate your group's needs. Located in New Smyrna just off Canal Street their first sale was in June 2016 after 3 years of R&D. They created a unique company that is Eco-friendly and fits our definition of What’s Behind Daytona FLAUNT Vehicles 105 Magnolia St / New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168 800 646-7616 x110 www.flauntvehicles.com https://www.facebook.com/flauntvehicles/ |
